For Injections, Starting IVs, Venipuncture, Minor Surgery
- Clean site with antiseptic.
- Holding the canister upright (no need to shake the canister), press actuator button firmly to dispense spray directly onto treatment site.
- Spray injection site for 4-10 seconds at a distance of 3-7 in (8-18 cm); if the skin turns white or blanches, stop spraying.
- Continue with procedure.
- Reapply as needed.
